Job Summary:

The position serves the Professional and Continuing Education (PaCE) department primarily with the planning, development and administration of educational programs, which may include research and analysis regarding the feasibility of current programs and those under consideration, and research and labor market needs analysis within the Inland Empire and outside to meet workforce educational needs.

Duties/Responsibilities

Program Administration
  • The incumbent will be responsible for the operational administration of self-supported educational programs, including responsibility for researching/forecasting, planning, assist with market development, developing proposals and memorandums as assigned, promoting and implementing programs and logistics associated with implementation, and ongoing improvement of quality and viability of the programs, as well as for financial planning, including development and monitoring of budgets, ongoing operational administration, collaboration with partners, and improving cost-effectiveness
  • Provide ongoing, necessary information to student advisors to inform and facilitate effective recruitment, admissions, enrollment, and registration. Provide troubleshooting for student logistical challenges as needed
  • Work with Marketing team to plan promotional activities in collaboration with PACE programs through the use and oversight of promotional strategies for digital marketing including research
  • Develop reports and perform analyses related to assigned educational programs
  • Other duties as assigned.

Reporting, Analytical, and Administrative Specialties
  • Contribute to program and departmental planning, development, analysis, and evaluation in PaCE, especially with assigned programs
  • Complete ongoing tasks in analyzing and reporting financial performances for program types in PaCE, with assigned independent projects
  • Develop and report recommendations to PaCE Leadership on enrollment management of PaCE offerings
  • Develop data-informed summaries for annual reports and other reporting to Senior Leadership Team in CEGE
  • Develop financial reports to determine the viability of assigned programs
  • Develop reports related to program development in the pipeline to assess current resources and the type of support necessary to add new programs to the PaCE portfolio.

Program Research and Development
  • Contribute to the evaluation, scope, and completion of new development requests
  • Develop and implement appropriate processes to support administrative activities related to program research and development
  • Act as a liaison between PaCE and campus partners in the research of new programs, identifying demand, community partnerships, program administration, and labor outlook.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and/or the equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs, PLUS two years of related experience.


Required Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of and ability to apply standard theories, principles, practices, and techniques applicable to the program and/or administrative specialty to develop conclusions and make recommendations.
  • Thorough knowledge of policies, procedures, and outside regulations pertaining to the applicable program and/or administrative specialty.
  • Working knowledge of operational and fiscal analysis and techniques.
  • Ability to take initiative and independently plan, organize, coordinate, and perform work in various situations where numerous and diverse demands are involved.
  • Skill in the research, development and evaluation of policies and programs, including skill in the collection, evaluation, and interpretation of data to develop sound conclusions and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Expertise in investigating and analyzing problems with a broad administrative impact and implications. Ability to anticipate problems and address them proactively.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interpret, organize, and present information and ideas in written or presentation form.
  • Ability to train others on new skills and procedures and provide lead work direction.
  • Reading and comprehending, writing, communicating verbally, reasoning and analyzing in English.
  • Proficiency with business systems and technologies.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in business or a closely-related field.
  • Two years of experience researching, developing, implementing, supporting, or managing educational programs, preferably in higher, extended, or adult education.


Compensation and Benefits:

Anticipated Hiring Range: $4,813 - $5,052 per month

Classification Salary Range: $4,170 - $7,545 per month

The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 14 paid holidays a year.
