Job Description:



  • Position Code: ADJFC

  • Job Type: Part-time adjunct; Clinical supervision of MOT students at pediatric sites in Springfield, MA. Faculty responsibilities include interaction with pediatric participants as well as MOT students; on-line grading of assignments.

  • Class level: Graduate, MOT Program

  • Course title: Level 1 Fieldwork Pediatric Occupations (OTP522)

  • Date class is scheduled to begin: 1/22/2019

  • Hours: Tuesday and Thursdays approx 3:45pm-6pm for 9 weeks


Are you an occupational therapist who is interested in a new and unique professional experience? As a Bay Path University clinical instructor you will... Interact with pediatric participants as you demonstrate/model sensory activities and professional behavior. Supervise MOT students as they carry out intervention plans. Facilitate reflective activities and assignments to support the development of clinical reasoning. This position provides a unique opportunity to use your professional pediatric experience to educate and inspire the next generation of OT's! Adjunct contract is per semester; however, we would like to find a candidate who is interested in committing to 2 or 3 semesters/year.



Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree (OTR) or Associate Degree (COTA).

  • Occupational Therapy License in MA .

  • Previous teaching experience, preferred but not required.

  • One year clinical experience in pediatric setting.

  • Knowledge/experience with Sensory Integration therapy preferred.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Ability to adhere to University policies and procedures.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Should be committed to a culture of diversity, respect and inclusion.

  • General knowledge of the University's mission, purpose, and goals and the role this position plays in achieving those goals.
