California State University, Dominguez Hills, was established in 1960 and is one of the 23 campuses that comprise The California State University system. Conditions of Employment:
The person holding this position is considered a `mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.

Due to the nature of this position, the successful candidate is required to complete a background check prior to assuming this position.

Position Information:
This is afull-time, permanent (probationary) position.

Special Working Conditions:
Tuesday-Thursday 1 p.m. - 10 p.m.
Friday 7:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.
Saturday 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Be available to troubleshoot problems outside of normal working hours and travel to satellite facilities, as needed.

Department: College of Extended and International Education

The College of Extended and International Education extends the University into the community through both self-supported and state-supported, market responsive, educational programs and services which transmit university-based knowledge and skills. The College coordinates international offerings and study abroad programs. The College provides the University with opportunities for faculty development, experimentation in curriculum, and development of new instructional delivery systems. College offerings may be nontraditional in subject matter, format, instructional mode, location and time. Program areas include Winter and Spring Intersessions and other Special Sessions; Open University; Credit and Noncredit Extension; Certificate Programs; Center for Training and Development; Travel/Study; Center for Mediated Instruction and Distance Learning; Lifelong Learning; and American Language and Culture Program and Study Abroad.

Major Job Duties:
Under the general direction of the Associate Dean, CEIE Multimedia Specialist works with the College of Extended and International Education, its students, faculty and staff to understand their multimedia needs related to office and academic audio-video technology. The position participates in the planning and development of classroom audio visual technical solutions, monitors and documents business needs of satellite locations, and researches and analyzes new approaches and solutions.

Qualifications:
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of multimedia presentation equipment, video projectors, computer presentation systems, sound systems, microphones, speaker systems, printers, computers, office technology, etc.

Ability to work with diverse stakeholders including staff, faculty, students, and the general public.

Ability to visit and provide administrative analysis for the satellite locations and maintain record of each one.

Ability to extract data from Peoplesoft, Microsoft, and other databases.

Ability to troubleshoot technical problems and identify technical opportunities.
Experience and Education:

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Education: Equivalent to a bachelor's degree or relevant training

Preferred Education: Bachelor Degree in Business or a technical-related discipline

Required Experience: Three (3) years of related experience with multimedia/audio visual equipment and troubleshooting.
Salary Range:

The salary range for this classification is: $3,897 - $6,453 monthly
