Description: Applications are invited for a one-year lecturer position in Computer Science, beginning in Fall 2019 semester (August 2019). Renewal may be available depending on evaluation of teaching performance and department teaching needs.

Required Qualification: Applicants must hold a M.S. degree or higher in computer science or in a closely related discipline with extensive background in computer science. Applicants must have experience in teaching, either as the instructor of record or as a teaching assistant.

Preferred Qualifications: A Ph.D. degree in computer science or in a closely related discipline with extensive background in computer science is preferred. Priority will be given to applicants who have excellent academic credentials and a proven ability to teach courses and laboratory sessions effectively, maintaining strong student-faculty interaction.

Candidates from all areas within computer science will be considered. Preferred areas of specialization are computational theory, algorithms, operating systems, networking, distributed and parallel computation, and databases. Priority consideration will be given to applicants in these areas.

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in computer science, including core courses and elective courses.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
