Basic Function:
We are seeking an Enterprise Change Management and Training Manager with Workday (or other ERP) implementation experience to manage and/or assist in managing multiple initiatives at WPI. The Enterprise Change Management and Training Manager plays a key role in ensuring the Enterprise Transformation Project (ETP) meets its objectives and is completed both on time and on budget by increasing employee adoption, knowledge, and usage.

This role focuses on the people side of the ETP, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, training design, development, delivery, and administration, along with job roles and organization structures. The primary responsibility is to create and implement change management and training strategies and plans to maximize employee adoption and usage. The role drives faster adoption, knowledge, higher utilization of and proficiency with the changes that impact faculty and staff. These improvements increase benefit realization, value creation, ROI and the achievement of ETP results and outcomes.

The Enterprise Change Management and Training Manager will lead the WPI community to serve as a coach for senior leaders and executives in helping them fulfill the role of change sponsor. The role also provides direct support and coaching to all levels of managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through transitions. The role supports project teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans. The Enterprise Change Management and Training Manager designs, develops, and participates in the delivery of end user training. The role also ensures that training administration is in place (scheduling, tracking, and reporting).

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead change management and training approaches for major initiatives
    Create and execute change management, communication, and training strategies and plans
    Coach and support executive project sponsors and senior leaders within the organization
    Execute on multiple change initiatives simultaneously
    Design, develop, deliver, and administer end user training associated with various change initiatives
    Actively listen to project sponsors, senior leaders, project team members, and impacted end users
    Work effectively at all levels within a large and matrixed organization while maintaining effective strong relationships
    Articulate messages clearly to a variety of audiences
    Influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
    Maintain flexibility and adaptability while working in sometimes ambiguous situations
    Maintain an organized approach building in planning strategy and tactics
    Utilize effective problem solving and root cause identification skills

    Position Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and at least 6 years of relevant project management experience

    Demonstrated structured Enterprise Change Management implementation and leadership experience required
    Demonstrated success in developing and managing organizational change management programs, particularly in transformational efforts with major process and technology components
    Demonstrated ability in training design, development, delivery, and administration associated with organizational change management programs
    Ability to effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
    Experience supporting and advising executive level leadership
    Ability to work with a large, diverse team across a matrixed organization
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    Experience implementing complete Workday or ERP solutions in an enterprise environment preferred
    Project Management experience (PMP preferred)
