About the Position:
The Capital Programs and Facilities Management Department is committed to planning, developing, and maintaining a safe, sustainable, and high quality learning and working environment for the campus community. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as the Director of Administrative Services. The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude, an active, energetic mind, and a leadership style that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

The Director of Administrative Services reports directly to the Associate Vice President for Capital Programs and Facilities Management (CPFM) and is a key member of the CPFM senior leadership team. This position plans, manages, oversees and directs the operations and services of the Administrative Services department, which includes budget and finance, human resources, information technology, logistical services, service center, and zone management. In this capacity, the director provides a high level of leadership and has the primary responsibility of the operations and functions within the Administrative Services department. The director advises and makes recommendations to the Associate Vice President for CPFM relative to Administrative Services functions. This position also works on special projects as assigned by the Associate Vice President for CPFM that vary in scope and may have either divisional or campus-wide impact. As a member of the CPFM senior leadership team, the director of Administrative Services works in a team to develop and implement CPFM strategic goals and initiatives , serves on various university committees, and serves as a member of the University's Emergency Operations Center (EOC). Other duties as assigned.



Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in business, finance, accounting, management, or a related field, in combination with a minimum of two years of experience in planning and leading the activities of a business operational unit. In-depth experience supervising and providing leadership to both managers and staff. Extensive knowledge and experience in budgeting, human resources and logistical services. Experience working as a financial manager including monitoring budgets that encompass a variety of funds, such as for a college, university or similar entity. Experience with governmental or public sector accounting and/or budgeting. Knowledge of principles, practices and techniques of human resources in a public agency setting. Successful experience being a part of a team and working with others to accomplish goals and tasks. Experience with quality improvement initiatives. Proven ability to facilitate and implement large projects from start to finish. Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to guide others in a highly
collaborative manner. Possession of excellent customer service skills and ability to work with other to resolve problems. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with full range of internal and external constitutes at all levels. Ability to work independently and work effectively and collegially with individuals and groups of people as part of a team.

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.

The scope of responsibilities for this position includes the making or participating in the making of decisions that may have a material financial benefit on the incumbent. Therefore, you will be required to file an initial Conflict of Interest Form 700: Statement of Economic Interests within thirty (30) days from date of hire and on an annual basis; and complete the CSU sponsored ethics on-line training within thirty (30) days of appointment, and at least once during each consecutive period of two calendar years following the appointment.
