Job Summary
Perform high-quality data abstraction that is accurate and suitable for statistical analysis. Data should meet the protocol-specified parameters and comply with all other applicable regulations, policies, and procedures. Responsible for the accurate entry, transmission, retrieval, and management of study data for the AU Georgia Cancer Center, Clinical Trials Office. Responsible for seeing that all data is handled in accordance to HIPPA and in compliance with all other applicable regulations, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:

Accurately enters study data into case report forms (electronic and paper) according to study requirements for all studies. Creates and distributes weekly schedule for all research patient visits. Responsible for scheduling all monitoring visits (remotely or onsite). Ensures all visits are captured and correctly Identified in OnCore.

Responsible for tracking all new patients by serving as the primary contact for receipt of informed consents. Maintains a comprehensive list of all accruals and confirms research patients have been registered to the study in OnCore.

Responsible for seeing that all data is handled in accordance to HIPPA and In compliance with all Institutional policies and procedures. Assist Administrator Director, CTO leadership in Implementing data management polices and procedures.

Serves as back up to the lab tech, orders pathology slides and ships to sponsor. Orders CT scans on CD and uploads to sponsor.

At the request of the investigator, CTO leadership or senior leadership, retrieves data In an acceptable format to present information requested.

Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university OR completion of two years of college level coursework with a minimum of two years' of related work experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases
Detail-oriented team player with strong mathematical, data entry, time management, organizational and analytical skills
Knowledge of transcription/dictation, medical terminology, research study planning, medical data management, data retrieval and HIPAA guidelines
Ability to maintain confidentiality; work under minimal supervision; accomplish tasks as required in a timely manner; and manage a high volume of callers through multi-line systems

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days; Monday - Friday

Pay Grade: 12

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
