Position Summary
The Charter Bus Driver will operate gas or diesel buses on routes for University of the Incarnate Word and observe all state and city speed and safety regulations, as well as, customer service and safety policies of the University.

This position is considered a Responsible Employee under Title IX federal regulations and Mandatory Reporter under Texas state law and the UIW Sexual Misconduct Policy. As a Mandatory Reporter, this position requires you as the employee to promptly report any incident that you witness or receive information about violating Title IX. These reporting responsibilities are set out in the UIW Sexual Misconduct Policy.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Must possess strong customer service skills and have the ability to drive for the authorized period of time as outlined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulation.
Must be knowledgeable with the Hours of Service (Log Book) requirements.
Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.

Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Work Experience
Must be at least 21 years of age with excellent driving record, as verified through state Motor Vehicle department.

Preferred Qualifications
Prior driving experience.

Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations
CDL Class A or B License with P & S Endorsements.

Must be insurable under UIWs insurance carrier.

Work Hours
Mon through Friday 8am to 5pm with occasional extended hours based on trips planned.

Physical Demands
Typical for charter bus driver.
