Perform cashiering duties for the Everett Community College Cashiers Office. Includes greeting students, verifying, consolidating and balancing cash receipts. Maintaining and preparing daily bank reports and deposits. Follow established procedures and remain compliant with college and state policies. Responsibilities include:
Calculating fees
Receiving payments be cash, check, and or credit card
Making change
Issuing receipts
Maintaining record of funds received, distributed, or transferred
Balancing records and till daily
Receiving deposits from other departments
Maintaining records of internal cash flow
Processing incoming mail, filing, sorting and alphabetizing
Referring students to other departments as needed
Requirements:
High school graduation or equivalent;
Computer experience - word processing and spreadsheet;
One or more years of experience in cashiering or a closely related fiscally responsible job such as retail sales clerk or bank teller, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
Demonstrated experience working with people from diverse backgrounds, including differences in culture, heritage, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, ability, class, and religion
Preferred:
Experience using Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel
Two or more years of cashiering or fiscal work experience
Receptionist or customer service work experience
Bilingual or multi-lingual skills, Spanish preferred
$13 per hour. Part time, maximum 69 hours per month. Hours will be scheduled to support department needs.
