Responsibilities:

This position, reporting to the Senior Director of Finance in the Professional Advancement Network (PAN), is responsible for the management of a portfolio of Professional Advancement Network expense budgets, including operational and restricted accounts. The incumbent will manage multiple budget indexes, review monthly expenditures and projections with the Senior Director of Finance and various department heads, deliver to the Senior Director of Finance monthly forecast of expense budgets, identify and resolve budget related issues, maintain expense controls, ensure appropriateness and accuracy of expenditures, ensure the completion of budget reconciliation and procurement accounting for monthly procurement card statements and conform with University policy and procedures.

Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for training unit managers on basic budgeting as well as Northeastern's fiscal policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree required. Must be professional, mature and have a minimum of three years of customer service experience, 2-5 years of budget experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong multi-tasking and time management skills, customer service focused and comfort interfacing with a diverse community are all required. Strong attention to detail and follow through skills are essential as well as flexibility, a positive attitude and the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment while handling multiple priorities are requirements of this job. Proficiency in Banner Finance and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.

The office is extremely busy and requires an individual with proven experiences in handling confidential materials, multi-tasking, and handling sensitive situations in a calm, thoughtful and professional manner. Must be able to manage deadlines and has a proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across units.
