Job Description:

  • Job Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

  • Hours: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, occasional evenings as needed

  • Schedule: M-F, occasional weekends as needed

Job Summary:


Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to supporting primary and secondary market research efforts, enrollment analysis, and marketing assessment, as well as assisting the Executive Director of Graduate Marketing with implementation efforts for program-specific multi-channeled, integrated marketing and communication plans for all graduate programs and certificates. As a member of the Enrollment Marketing team, the Assistant for Marketing & Enrollment may be requested to help in initiatives that involve undergraduate marketing and recruitment efforts as they can be closely connected. This position will also provide administrative support to the Vice Provost of Enrollment.


Essential Duties:



  • Assist in the maintenance of graduate enrollment marketing plans across all graduate programs.

  • Track and report specific marketing activities and outcomes for use as a basis in identifying return on investment and effectiveness of marketing campaigns, which includes utilizing reports from digital vendors and leveraging Google Analytic goal setting and website traffic assessments.

  • Document and track sales agreements/contracts, following up as necessary to ensure all terms and deadlines are met.

  • Maintain the library of electronic marketing assets, such as photos, images, logos, HTML email, brochures, flyers, etc.

  • Work in collaboration with the Enrollment Marketing Team and the Web Communications Manager to deploy social media strategies for events, programmatic offerings, and promotion of faculty and students in their fields.

  • Assist in creating communication campaigns, reports, events and segmentation in the CRM (customer relationship management tool).

  • Assist in the development of creative under the supervision of the Executive Director of Graduate Marketing for use in print, digital, social media and email communications.

  • Research competition, trends, and marketing efforts of other institutions to identify best practices.

  • Identify and compile media kit information for new advertising opportunities.

  • Update website information, such as schedules, news releases, and articles, testimonials, and events, as needed.

  • Update marketing collateral per program, as needed.

  • Maintain the vendor databases providing updates with new contact information and cleanup of contact records.

  • Manage the calendar for the Vice Provost of Enrollment, and other administrative support functions as needed, and attend trainings as required.



Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Higher Education or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Demonstrated experience with, and basic knowledge of marketing concepts and principles.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint, Internet use and navigation, Google email, calendar, etc. and social media.

  • Basic experience with Adobe design products (InDesign, Illustrator or Photoshop), or in the absence of current knowledge the demonstrated ability to learn.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work individually and on self-driven projects.

  • Ability to manage a heavy workload and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent skills in organization, prioritization and time management.

  • Basic understanding of analytical skills and fundamental financial calculations, like return on investment, percent increases and decreases, etc.

  • Self-motivated, confident, energetic, and creative.

  • Basic video production and editing skills a plus.

  • Experience with HTML or website editing a plus.

  • Basic experience or understanding with Customer Relationship Management software, or in the absence of current knowledge the demonstrated ability to learn.

  • Experience with Google Analytics also a plus.

  • Valid U.S. driver's license

  • Must successfully pass the online safe Driving Course (within 15 days of hire) and driving record check at time of hire and annually thereafter.

  • If you operate a University owned, leased or personal vehicle at any time while performing your duties you must follow all policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual. You must have a valid driver's license and must successfully pass the online safe Driving Course and driving record check at time of hire and annually thereafter. Additionally, you must report any driving offense, on or off company time, which causes a loss, suspension, or any other change in your license status. You must report this change within one business day of the offense. You can report this change to the Human Resource Department or your direct supervisor. Failure to do so can lead to disciplinary action, up to and including terminations.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and within FERPA and HIPPA guidelines.

  • All new employees must complete the FERPA and Anti-Harassment online trainings within 15 days of employment
