Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Reports to the Dean of Academic Affairs (Research and Assessment)
  • Assist the Dean of Academic Affairs by providing content expertise in the development of a framework for institutional planning and assessment
  • Coordinates the development and implementation of institutional assessment initiatives across the units of the College, including academic affairs, student services, finance and facilities, and others
  • Manages data collection and analysis, and oversees the formulation of assessment reports to support program improvement in the academic and administrative divisions
  • Collaborates with faculty and academic leadership to identify data and professional development needs during the academic program review process
  • Prepares state, federal, and college accountability reports according to documented requirements, ensuring accuracy and timelines
  • Coordinates the preparation, follow-up, and reports for program and institutional accreditations
  • Provide research and data to support grant-writing, grant management, and reporting
  • Oversees the development, administration, analysis and reporting of institutional surveys that measure engagement, performance and satisfaction for both students and employees
  • Supervises assigned Institutional Research and Assessment staff

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience; doctorate preferred
  • Three years or equivalent experience in institutional research, as either a practitioner within a higher education institution, or a researcher in the field of higher education
  • Demonstrated knowledge of social science research methodology, statistical methods, data collection, analysis and interpretation
  • Experience with relational database systems
  • Understanding of outcomes assessment in higher education
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff and student population


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Experience with SPSS, SAS or similar statistics packages
  • Experience with data warehouse and business intelligence systems
  • Working knowledge of Oracle, SQL or other database programming language

Additional Information:

Salary Range: $85,000.00-$95,000.00
