Position Summary

Under direct supervision responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide administrative support to the program director, the department Administrative Assistant, full and part-time faculty, and technical staff as needed. Assist new and returning part-time faculty with college policies and procedures. Assist all faculty and staff with applications such as rosters, and schedules, as well as preparation of institutional forms.
  • Answer telephone inquiries in a courteous and professional manner to provide information about the department programs and courses as well as referrals to other CSN areas. Provide communication assistance for all program faculty. Maintain communication capabilities with administration, faculty, and students.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with personnel within this and other departments to facilitate processing of departmental business. They will answer phones, take and deliver messages, greet students and visitors, and provide guidance and information regarding department courses and programs, CSN policies and procedures.
  • TCreate and maintain department files, whether electronic or hard copy per the Program Director.
  • Engage and participate in campus activities such as recruiting and school events. They will demonstrate a willingness to assist other staff as necessary.


Required Qualifications
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education and one year of clerical experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintaining records, answering telephones, and reviewing forms, documents and other written materials; OR six months of experience as an Administrative Aid in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Preferred Qualification
  • Experience with Workday, Peoplesoft/MyCSN, BSDPRO.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience working in post-secondary setting.
  • Experience working with diverse populations.
  • Spanish Speaker preferred.


Salary Range

Grade 23, Step 1 - Grade 23, Step 10

$31,403.52 - $45,142.56
