About the Position:
The Extension and International Programs Office coordinates the University's commitment to internationalization. The office initiates and administers contacts with partner institutions around the world in order to foster the exchange of faculty and students and coordinate international programming. Our office is dedicated to promoting the exchange of knowledge and experience within our multicultural campus community and with the world at large. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our Extension Administration team as a Program Coordinator (Administrative Support Coordinator I). The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

Under general supervision, the Program Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of a large, evolving portfolio of programs across broad content areas within Extension and International Programs (EIP). Serves as the primary contact for students and instructors in assigned portfolio of programs to field questions, addresses concerns, provides solutions, and ensures program quality. Coordinates projects, performs enrollment data analysis and reporting, contributes to program planning, and provides student and instructor support. Coordinates and enhances relationships with students, outside and campus partners, key department personnel and faculty/instructors. Works in collaboration with program leads and team members to ensure each program/class is effectively evaluated, planned, managed, and delivered to provide a high-quality experience to students and instructors. Participates in the process of creating, editing, and delivery of various marketing/communications materials. Supports special events and meetings. May act as Lead to student assistant(s). Participates in the process of creating marketing materials and participates in special projects. Other duties as assigned.


Essential Qualifications:
High School diploma or the equivalent and four years of progressively responsible experience in general office, clerical or secretarial work or the equivalent. Thorough, detailed knowledge of applicable university infrastructure, policies, and procedures. Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Thorough knowledge of office systems with the ability to use a range of technology, systems and software packages. Ability to independently handle multiple work unit priorities and projects. Ability to apply a variety of policies and procedures where specific guidelines may not exist. Working knowledge of budget policies and procedures. Ability to perform standard business math including calculating ratios and percentages, tracking financial data, and making simple projections. Ability to draft and compose correspondence and standard reports. Ability to handle effectively a broad range of interpersonal contacts including those at a higher level and those sensitive in nature.

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.


Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Experience using PeopleSoft or other similar programs. Knowledge of the CSU infrastructure, policies and procedures. Solutions and results oriented with strong ability to adapt and operate within university processes and procedures. High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and databases. Experienced in the coordination and providing lead work direction and/or training and assistance to others.
