Program Manager B - Equity and Social Justice

Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Program Manager will work in an innovative, equity-focused and cross-institutional environment to further the work of the Equity and Social Justice Division and the Diversity and Equity Center. The position will manage programming and services to increase retention and completion results of specific student populations including African American/Black students and LGBTQIA+ students. The position supports Diversity and Equity Center large-scale campus events including the Students of Color Career Conference (SOCCC) and leads programming specific to African American/Black students and LGBTQIA+ students at EvCC.

Minimum Qualifications:
? Bachelors degree in human services, ethnic studies, psychology, social services, education or related field.
? 3+ years of experience with student services, educational support programs and/or program development, student development, or related field.
? Experience working with African American/Black and LBGTQIA+ students
? Substantive experience leading diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and programming.
? Demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities in promoting and advancing:
student success
an atmosphere of inclusiveness and collegiality
a pervasive workplace culture of equity, respect, advocacy and engagement
? Demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities in:
addressing gaps in aspiration, access, achievement, engagement, and economic progress for underserved and underrepresented, specifically African American/Black and LBGTQIA+ students
serving students across a diverse spectrum of backgrounds
building relationships, networking, and working effectively with ethnically, culturally, and
socioeconomically diverse populations, community organizations, and the campus community
building coalitions and consensus among diverse groups to achieve goals
referring students to campus & community resources
? Demonstrated superior project management and time-management skills including dealing with multiple and competing deadlines, the ability to prioritize, work under pressure, complete tasks on time and be responsive to requests.
? Proven record of timely follow through on deadlines and deliverables; detail-oriented; highly organized; tenacious commitment to achievement of agreed-upon targets.
? Demonstrated ability to work independently, under supervision, and in a team environment
? Strong computer skills
? Demonstrated ability to create clear, precise and effective verbal and written communication for multiple audiences.
? Demonstrated experience communicating with students using a variety of communication tools including email, phone, and social media.

Preferred Qualifications:
? Supervisory experience with professional and student paraprofessional staff
