Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a part-time Business Development Advisor for the Nevada Small Business Development Center (SBDC). This position will provide assistance, counseling, and training to small businesses in the startup, expansion, and operating phases of their business life cycles. Other duties include, but are not limited to: being responsible for contributing to business starts, the creation of jobs, and capital formation for clients; assisting in all aspects of owning, managing, and operating a small business; providing expertise for the purpose of business survival and job retention; working in tandem with the other programs of the Nevada SBDC to leverage existing resources and partnerships while continuously seeking new ones; working closely with the State Training Director to develop and teach training programs for clients in various business community; consistently recording activities and results; and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's and two (2) years OR a Masters and one (1) year of experience.
Related Experience: Business ownership and program or business development, i.e., marketing, advertising, international trade or exporting, public relations and/or promotion of small business endeavors.

Travel Requirements
Some travel may be required for training or attending program or partner events
